Openai plans to allow a broader range of content, including Erotica, in his popular chattt chatt as part of his impetus to “heal adult users as adults,” says his boss Sam Altman.

In a post on the X on Tuesday, Altman said that upcoming versions of the popular chatbot will allow to behave in a more human way -“But only if you want, not because we use the most.”

This move, reminiscent of the latest XAI introduction of XAI of Elon Musk of two sexually explicit chatbot in Grok, can help Openai attract more paid subscribers.

It is also likely to increase the pressure on legislators to introduce more terrible restrictions on satellites of the chatbot.

Openai did not answer the BBC’s requests for comment after G -N Altman’s publication.

The changes announced by the company come after it was tried earlier this year by parents of an American teenager who took her life.

The lawsuit brought by Matt and Maria Rhine, who are the parents of 16-year-old Adam Rhine, was the first legal claim to blame Openai in unlawful death.

The California couple criticizes the company’s parental control – which is said to be intended to promote the healthier use of its chatbot – saying they are not far enough.

The family included chatting diaries between Adam, who died in April and Chatgpt, which shows him that he explains that he has suicide thoughts.

Altman said Openai had previously made Chatgpt “quite restrictive to make sure we are careful about the problems of mental health.”

“We realize that this makes it less useful/enjoyable for many users who have no problems with mental health, but given the seriousness of the problem we wanted to get this right,” said G -n Altman.

He said the company was already able to mitigate serious mental health risks and have new instruments that would allow it to “restrict restrictions safely in most cases.”

“In December, as we unfold a more fulfilling age and as part of our” treated adult users as adults “principle, we will allow even more, such as erotica for audited adults,” he said.

Critics claim that Openai’s decision to allow erotica on the platform shows the need for more regulation of the federal and state levels.

“How will they make sure that children do not have access to Chatgpt parts that are for adults only and provide erotica?” said Jenny Kim, a partner at Boies Schiller Flexner’s Law Firm. “Open AI, like most major technologies in this space, is just to use people like guinea pigs.”

Da Kim is involved in a case against Meta, which claims that the Instagram algorithm of the company is damaging to the mental health of the users of teenagers.

“We don’t even know if their age that Gates will work,” she said.

In April, TechCrunch reported This Openai allowed accounts in which the user registered as a minor to generate graphic erotica.

Openai said at a time that the company was deploying a correction to limit such content.

A exploration Posted this month by the Center for Democracy and Non -Profit Technology (CDT) found that one in five students reported that they or someone they know had a romantic relationship with AI.

On Monday, California Gavard Gavin Newmo imposed a veto bill adopted by a state legislative body that would block developers to offer AI Chatbots satellites to children unless companies cannot guarantee that the software will not give rise to harmful behavior.

NEWSOM stated that it is “imperative that adolescents learn how to interact safely with AI systems” in a message It accompanied his veto.

At the national level, the Federal Committee on US Trade (FTC) has launched an investigation on how AI chatbots interact with children.

In the US Senate last month, bilateral legislation was introduced, which will classify AI chatbots as products. The law will allow consumers to file liability against chatbot developers.

The announcement of G -n Altman on Tuesday comes as skeptics question the rapid rise in the value of AI technology companies.

Openai’s revenue has increased, but they have never been profitable.

Professor of Business at the University of Tulan Rob Lalka, who is the author of the recent Algure Alchemists book, said large AI companies are in the battle for market share.

“No company has ever had the adoption that Openai saw with Chatgpt,” Lalka told the BBC.

“They had to continue to push this exponential growth curve, achieving market domination as far as they can.”
