Copenhagen’s Airport closed after drone observations, police say

All flights to and from the largest airport in Denmark were stopped after drone observations, police said.

Between two to three large drones, they were seen flying in the area around Copenhagen, according to authorities.

The downloads and landings at the airport have been stopped at around 8:30 pm local time (7:30 pm BST).

“(The airport) is currently closed for take-off and landing, as 2-3 large drones are seen flying in the area. Currently, the horizon is unknown,” a statement of X.

Speaking to the Reuters news agency, a spokesman at Copenhagen’s airport confirmed that the airport airspace was closed due to unidentified drones.

“Police are investigating the issue and the time for reopening must be included,” the spokesman said.
