Ongoing product innovations

In addition to the above announcements, Digital Ocean has introduced the following product innovations:

– VPC Peering It allows customers to connect to a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and create seamless connectivity between resources hosted in those VPCs by traversing the Digital Ocean backbone.
– International freight scales It allows clients to distribute HTTP/S traffic across backend resources hosted in different regions of DigitalOcean. These clients can use them to reduce latency by directing users to the nearest source to increase application availability, performance, and resiliency.
– Internal load balances Allows customers to distribute regional HTTP/s/TCP/UDP traffic across assets in a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) using private IP addresses. This helps improve security by helping internal workloads stay isolated from the public Internet, making it convenient for applications that require private communication.
– Droplet Autoscale pools It helps ensure the right resources are available to manage application workloads, automatically scaling to meet demand while helping to reduce costs.
– Bitbucket support in application platform It allows customers to seamlessly link their Bitbucket accounts and deploy applications directly from Bitbucket repositories.
– Flexible application management capabilities Provides precise control over application lifecycle (archive/restore in beta, maintenance mode, restart, command line access to application containers) in the application platform.
– VPC-native DOKS collections Digitalocean makes Kubernetes VPC-native. VPC resources can natively connect to Kubernetes pods in DOKS.
– DOKS now reaches 1000 nodes (Beta) Enables SMBs to scale more.
