Elloe AI wants to be the ‘immune system’ for AI — check it out at Disrupt 2025

Owen Sakawa, its founder Here comes AIIts platform aims to be “immune system for AI” and “antivirus for any AI agent”.

concept, Sakawa said in an interview a few days ago TechCrunch disrupts Conference, where Elloe AI is a top 20 finalist Startup battlefield Competition, adding a layer to the company’s LLM that checks for bias, hallucinations, errors, compliance issues, misinformation and unsafe outputs.

“AI is evolving at a very rapid pace, and it’s moving at this rapid pace without guard rails, without safety nets, without mechanisms to prevent it from ever going off the rails,” Sakawa (pictured above) said.

Elloe AI is an API or an SDK, a module that sits on top of the output layer of an AI model, an “infrastructure on top of your LLM pipeline,” as Sakawa explains. “And it sits there basically validating every response.”

Startups have their own layers of systems, or “anchors,” as Sakawa says.

The first anchor verifies LLM’s responses against verifiable sources. Then, the second anchor checks whether the output violates any regulations, such as the US Health Privacy Act HIPAA, the European Broader Data Protection and Privacy Act. GDPRor if it discloses certain personally identifiable information (PII). The last anchor is an audit trail that shows how all previous decisions were made and allows the controller or system auditor to “analyze the model’s train of thought from which it derived that decision, the confidence score of those decisions,” according to Sakawa.

To be clear, Sakawa said, Elloe AI is not built on an LLM, because in his opinion, testing other LLMs by LLMs means “band-aiding another wound.” Elloe AI’s system uses AI techniques, though, such as machine learning. And there are people in the loop: Elloe AI’s employees, who adhere to new rules on data protection and user protection, Sakawa said.
