Watch: Epstein survivors speak publicly outside the US Capitol

Jeffrey Epstein’s victims gave emotional stories of sexual abuse on Wednesday as they spoke on the steps of the United States Capitol and called on lawmakers to release more files for the convicted sexual criminal.

One of the women, Lisa Phillips, said that a group

“We will confidently compile the names that we all know were regularly in the world of Epstein,” she said. “This will be done by the survivors and for the survivors.”

The event was organized by US legislators who call for more files than the Epstein investigation to be published publicly.

During the two -hour press conference, the nine Epstein accusers of women described in detail their experience and abuse in the hands of the disgraced financier.

D -Ja Phillips called on the Ministry of Justice to release all the documents and information that the investigation has, adding that many victims are afraid of consequences if they themselves become public with names.

The prosecutor’s lawyer added that they were afraid of being tried or attacked because “no one has protected them for the first time.”

Marina Lalerda, speaking publicly for the first time, said she worked for Epstein from the age of 14 to the age of 17, when the disgraced financier decided he was “too old”.

“I was one of the dozens of girls that I personally know who were forced at Jeffrey’s estate … in New York when we were just children,” she said.

“A friend of mine in the neighborhood told me that I could do $ 300 to give another person a massage,” Lulerda said as she became visibly emotional. “He went from a dream job to the oldest nightmare.”

Annie Farmer, who is now 46, said she was taken to New Mexico at the age of 16 to spend a weekend with Epstein. Her sister was also flying there and reported the abuse, she said, but nothing was done.

“We do not yet know why this report was not properly investigated or why Epstein and its associates were allowed to harm hundreds, if not thousands, by other girls and young women,” she said.

Chantae Davies addressed a question about the relationship between Trump and Epstein, saying that “the biggest Hlot of the sexual criminal is that he is very good friends with Donald Trump.”

“He had a frame on him on his desk, with both,” she said.

Trump was Epstein’s friend, but said they fell in the early 2000s because the financing struck staff at the Trump Golf Club in Florida.

“This is a democratic fraud that never ends,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Cabinet on Wednesday when he was asked for a nearby press conference.

He said that “no one is ever pleased” by the files issued, adding that the call for more editions is a distraction from his recording of service.

“I really think it’s enough,” Trump said.

On Tuesday evening, 33,000 pages and several videos were announced by the Chamber Supervision Committee, which awarded the Ministry of Justice and Epstein Estate. However, most of them were already in public.

The best Democrat in the committee Robert Garcia said, “Don’t let this mislead you.”

“After careful review, supervisory democrats have found that 97% of the documents received from the Ministry of Justice are already public. No mention of clients or something to improve transparency or justice for the victims is not mentioned,” he said.

The Ministry of Justice is believed to have about 100,000 pages of material for Epstein.

The publication on Tuesday followed the publication of last month in the interview of the US Department of Justice with Ghislaine Maxwell, which was complicit in Epstein.

In the transcripts – which go up to 300 pages, some highly edited – Maxwell said that while she believed that Trump and Epstein were friendly “in social conditions,” she does not think they are close friends.

Two members of the Chamber, the Republican Thomas Tables of Kentucky and the Democrat Ran Hannah of California, are trying to force a vote on forced justice to release all documents in the case.

They were collecting signatures on Wednesday and would need 218 to force a vote. This will mean that two Republicans will have to support the plan.

“It’s a shame that it’s called a fraud. It’s not a scam,” Massie said. “There are real victims of this criminal enterprise and the perpetrators are protected because they are rich and powerful.”

The leaders of the White House and the Republican congresses are opposed to the release of all files, saying that this can expose the identity of the victims who do not want to publish publicly.
