Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
The S Pen is still there and light as a feather.
The top-end Samsung phone may have more rounded corners, but it still stands as the most distinctive Galaxy phone in the current lineup. D Galaxy S25 Ultra It has the same chip and RAM as the first two phones, but now includes a 50MP ultra-wide lens for more detailed landscape shots. Galaxy S25 Edge
Samsung’s “one more thing” wasn’t a pair of AR glasses, as we all expected, but a new phone that harks back to a different era of Samsung mobile devices. If removing people from your photos doesn’t float your boat, audio eraser is one of the Galaxy S25’s headline new features. It can take any video and analyze it for different soundtracks, separating it into voice, music, wind or distortion. Users can then change the volume of each sound source. The feature promises to help users remove oppressive background noise, like any wind when you speak into your phone’s mic on a skiing trip, or the sound of a torturous jackhammer from a video of a family outing.
Gemini Live can now analyze photos
While Gemini now sits prominently at the power button on Samsung’s Galaxy S25 phone, Google’s conversational AI Gemini Live sits as an interesting but ultimately questionable app for most Android users. The feature could be a bit more useful with the ability to upload images and talk to Google’s AI about them. You can also talk to AI about files uploaded to your AI or YouTube videos that are linked What can you talk about with AI? Maybe you can ask it about the composition of the photo or whether AI created that YouTube video These features should come to both the Pixel 9 series as well as the Galaxy S24 and S25 phones in the coming weeks. It allows you to capture on-screen content by drawing around an object on your screen. While many of these actions are already handled by Circle Two Search, Samsung is adding the ability to record GIFs from videos without any additional downloads and conversions. Unfortunately, you can’t control the framerate, and you’re locked into a set number of seconds for recording, but it can be an easy way to send GIFs to friends without any extra heavy lifting.
Log video recording
Professional videographers can now use their Galaxy phones to shoot direct logarithmic, otherwise known as LOG. This feature will be available in Pro mode in users’ Camera app. Samsung touts that you’ll be able to shoot in 10-bit HEVC and then export to a professional software suite like Davinci Resolve for color correction.
Mental health tracking via Samsung Health
Doctor Samsung hopes you get more from Samsung Health with even more health and wellness tracking capabilities The company says it will add a vascular load index and antioxidant index for those who want to properly manage what they eat. Samsung plans to upgrade devices with mindfulness features to support your mental health. Integrating AI with the app to become your “personal health assistant”.
