International Automaker Stelantis, owner of Cryisler, Jeep and RAM, says it will invest $ 13 billion in the United States in the next four years as part of the new CEO -directed extensive revival plan.
Five new vehicles will be developed and produced by 2029 as part of investment in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana factories. The investment will support the production of a new four -cylinder engine and will restart the assembly plant of Illinoi’s Belvid, which will allow the automaker to expand the production of zip cherry and zip compass for the US market. In all, more than 3,000 work will be prepared.
In contrast to the promises of investing in the previous multi-billion dollar, however, it does not concentrate on electrification.
One of the five new vehicles is a range-enhanced EV-such vehicle that connects a battery to the gas generator for additional range, which began in the Warren truck assembly plant of Misigan in 2021.
One of the remaining products includes the next generation Dodge Durango, which will be produced in the Detroit Assembly Complex in 2021, a new midsise truck that will be assembled in the Ohio Toldo Assembly Complex, and a new four cylinder engine called GMET 4 EVO will begin in its Cocomo, Indian.

Stelantis CEO and North America COO Antonio Philosa says that the investment will drive the automaker growth, strengthen its production footprint and “will bring more American jobs in the state that we call home.”
Philosa said in a statement, “The accelerated growth in the United States from my first day is a top priority.
