Airline Qantas has been forced to delay several South African flights due to last-minute warnings about SpaceX rocket debris falling from the sky, the airline said. told The Guardian this week

SpaceX chose the southern Indian Ocean as its re-entry region due to its remote location. But the location is very relevant for Qantas: it falls within the Sydney to Johannesburg route. Ben Holland, head of operations at Qantas, said the airline was often given too little advance notice of debris, leading to delays.

The Guardian reported that South African Airways flights were also affected by SpaceX.
