Google Meet launches an AI-powered makeup feature

Google meat finally has a AI-powered makeup filter For those days when you don’t feel like applying real makeup before a meeting. The new power will help Google compete with other video conferencing applications that already have virtual makeup features with Microsoft team and zoom.

Provides 12 different makeup options to choose from Google Meeting that can be found in the “attendance” section under “Portrait Touch-Up” that is a feature that was available from 2023 Users to provide options like Complex Smoothing, Under-I Lightning and Eye Hoiting.

Significantly, Google says that virtual makeup seems to be more authentic, regardless of how the user moves on-screen. So, if a user gets a sip of coffee, the filter will be in their mouth instead of moving the mug.

Additionally, the feature will be disabled by default and can be activated by the user before or at time of any video call. Once the makeup style is applied, Google Meat will remember your preferences for future meetings.

The new AI-driven feature started on October 8th and the web started roll out.
