Michael Calor: yes My favorite inconsiderate product placement was on the Entourage show from HBO. It was on TV, I don’t know, 15 years ago.
Lauren Good: Oh, I remember it.
Michael Calor: And the characters would say to each other, “I’ll BBM it to you.”
Lauren Good: No. Time Capsule.
Michael Calor: yes Which even if you have a blackberry-
Lauren Good: Yes, you never said.
Michael Calor: No one ever said that.
Lauren Good: No, it is so true.
Michael Calor: They will text it to you.
Lauren Good: unbelievable
Michael Calor: But no, I’m going to BBM it to you.
Andy Greenberg: Just the fact that we even know what BBM-ing is made it work.
Lauren Good: Or maybe it’s more, “What is it, guys? I don’t remember. I’m too young.” Okay, Andy, give us your, tired day.
Andy Greenberg: Well, I’m not a video game reporter, but I bought—everyone’s talking about this game silksong. It was $20 on Switch. I bought this for my 9 year old son, and I thought I would play this cute little game and I can’t believe how hard it is. No one is talking about this incredibly popular game – it makes you want to cry. Like me, not my son, like me, an adult. I can’t stop playing it.
But I’ve been more frustrated playing this game than anything else in my life or work over the years. It’s my tendency to watch extremely amateur video games that for a while all these games have become really easy Candy Crush And Farmville And Angry Bird Things where you just basically can’t lose. And people seem to love it, and games become incredibly easy. And now it seems like we’re in an age where games are absurdly difficult, including these—what look like casual games for kids are actually some of the most challenging things you’ll do in your life. And actually I think it’s great. So yeah, I’d say TIRED is the easy games and WIRED is the games that are ridiculously hard and make me want to cry.
