Reader recently wrote with the challenge of a lot People are facing, even if it doesn’t say it only loudly:
“I want to get in shape, but I don’t know what the goals are. There’s so much: Crossfit, Marathon, Bodybuilding. I’m supposed to do it all. And I’m going to disappoint something I fail.”
If that echo with you, you are not alone.
In a world full fitness influence, gym and great transformation, easy to lose track of what you I actually want.
Well, we reduce and make this simpler.
Imagine Genie gives you your fitness desires. But there is a catch: Wake up tomorrow without remembering the desire to be awarded.
What do you notice first? Paint a picture for me.
Maybe it’s:
This helps you think about outcome Want without getting lost in Methods (such as Crosfit or Bodybuilding).
Because here is the truth:
Depending on your goal, there are much Methods leading to the same outcome. The best? It’s the one you enjoy enough to hold.
If you still feel foggy in your goals try this:
Ask yourself:
“Why do I want to get in shape?”
Then, whatever your answer ask why Again. (Repeat up to 5 times.)
Digging deeper, we can often find something that really echo with us.
It can take us from “I want to enter into a great form” on “I want to play with my grandmothers on the floor without pain.”
It’s a great start, because it gives us more ideas about how to get.
For example, if you want to be able to play with grandmothers on the floor without pain, you could start with:
Everything will help you get into shape, but more importantly, help you enter shape in a way that connects to your deeper why.
We trained a lot of people stuck here.
They think:
“My why not deep enough.” “I would be motivated that I just had something.”
But here are things:
You don’t need a perfect reason. You just need to start.
Yes, it is useful to reflect. Yes, the harmonization of your shares with your values is great.
But you will learn much more about what is actually important work than you will overcome.
So if you feel stuck? Select the general direction. Take a step. See what’s going on.
You can always a course – correct later.
I think this is another really key part of the set goals:
It’s ok to change your goals after you start!
Sometimes it is enough to say:
“I think I want to feel better. I’ll start taking over consistent actions in that direction.”
As you move forward, you will acquire clarity. You will understand what is and It is not Important to you.
Because here is a little secret: most of our coaching clients change their goals at least once they go.
That doesn’t mean they failed. That means they found out. And he moved forward all the time.
If you feel flooded with all your fitness noise, you are not broken.
You’re just ready to stop chasing someone else’s goal and start building your.
And if you want help with that? I would love to hear where your head is.
Just hit the answer and talk about it.
