Italian leader Jorge Meloni says a new proposal in the United States has caused Nadezhda to end war in Israel-Hamas

Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni told a fleet, who sails to Gaza to stop, saying that activists’ last attempt to provide risks of help derailting the US plan to end war.

More than 40 boats floating in the global fleet SUMUD (GSF) are accompanied by an Italian naval frigate, which Italian officials said it would stop after the fleet was 150 nautical miles (278 km) from the Gaza coastline.

Shortly after reaching this point on Wednesday, GSF said it was “high” and this drone activity “grows” over the fleet.

Meloni said the US proposal caused a “hope” to end the Israeli war, adding that it was a “fragile balance that many would enjoy to destroy.”

“I am afraid that the fleet’s attempt to break the Israeli naval block can serve as a pretext for it,” Melono said.

Israel has told the fleet to deliver the humanitarian assistance to the Israeli port, according to AFP News.

The fleet consists of more than 500 people, including Italian politicians and a Swedish climate activist Greta Tunberg.

In a series of publications at Telegram early Wednesday morning, GSF said he had now entered the area “where the previous fleets were attacked and/or captured.”

He added that they had prepared for a possible interception after several unidentified vessels, some without lights, approached the fleet. Since then, unidentified ships have left.

Italian officials called on the fleet to accept a compromise and to release the help in Cyprus to avoid confrontation with Israel.

“Every other choice risks becoming a pretext of preventing peace, feeding conflicts, and therefore affecting all Gaza people,” Meloni said.

But in a statement, the global Sumud Flotilla said it would continue to sail.

“The Italian Navy will not derail this mission. The humanitarian request for breaking the blockade cannot return to the harbor,” the statement said.

Watch: Greta Tunberg about whether Gaza Flotilla is a “public stuntman”

Last week Italian Defense Minister Guido Croseto condemned what he said was Drone attack overnight of unidentified perpetrators of the fleet.

Italy and Spain unfolded naval ships to the fleet, then off the coast of Crete after reporting explosions, drones over their heads and communication congestion – blaming Israel in “dangerous escalation”.

Israel did not comment on the incident – but he repeatedly said that the fleet was a Hamas surgery without citing evidence.

Pope Leo XIV also expressed concern about the safety of the fleet. “From all sides, people say,” Let’s hope that there will be no violence, that people are respected. “This is very important,” he said.

In an interview with BBC on Sunday, Greta Tunberg backed down against criticism that the fleet was a stunt cascade.

“I don’t think anyone would risk their life as a stuntman for publicity,” she said.

The US peace plan for gas It offers an immediate termination of the fight, the release within 72 hours of 20 living Israeli hostages held by Hamas, as well as the remains of more than two dozen hostages, which are thought to be dead – in exchange for hundreds of detainees.
