An American Federal Judge has overturned Donald Trump’s slander case of $ 15 billion against the New York Times on Friday, citing problems with its contents.

US District Judge Stephen Maryde said Trump had violated a federal rule requiring candidates to outline in a brief and clear statement as to why they deserve relief from the court.

The legal appeal, the judge said, is not a “protected platform to rage against an opponent.” He gave Trump 28 days to file a modified complaint.

Trump has signaled that he will sue the New York Times earlier this week in a Truth Social post, claiming that the newspaper is “allowed to lie freely, to blur me and to slander me too long.”
