Get ready for some noodle-armed minifigs: Lego has announced that it’s officially making a series of a piece It’s set to arrive later this year, but perhaps not as directly as you’d hoped.
This morning Lego announced that it is partnering with Netflix to create a series of sets based on Live-action adaptation By Eiichiro Oda The seminal manga series. Little is known about what to expect from the sets, other than we can expect to see them before the Netflix show returns for a second season, which is set to arrive on the streamer sometime this year. A short teaser video from Lego also features Luffy’s iconic hat, and an elongated minifigure arm reaching down to grab it—so maybe we can hope that some wild minifigure engineering can give us at least one form using his powers. Their strange powers.

Oda himself is particularly jazzed about the sets, releasing an official statement about the collaboration via Official a piece Social media accountsAlongside new art of Luffy as a Lego minifigure. “Even now, I have dozens of Lego boxes piled up at my workplace that I haven’t even had time to dig into,” Oda’s incredibly relatable statement reads in part. “For 25 years since the anime started, I’ve been asking for a Lego toy, and finally my dream is coming true with a live-action collection!”
