Morrissey cancels us shows after the threat of death in Canada

British artist Morrisis canceled two shows in the United States after receiving a threat of death before a concert in Ottawa, Canada.

A 26-year-old man from Ottawa was released on bail after It is alleged to say threat to the singer’s murderWhose real name is Stephen Morrisi before his presentation at a music festival last week.

The event continued as planned, but later the singer canceled two shows in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Morrisi was the front man of the rock band The Smiths, but left the group in 1987 to continue a solo career.

He is known for being honest on issues such as the human attitude towards animals and politics.

In 2006, he refused to tour Canada in protest of the annual print hunting.

After the threat to his life in Ottawa last week, he canceled the show on Friday in Connecticut and one in Boston.

“In recent days, there has been a reliable threat to Morrisi’s life,” a statement on Boston’s place on Instagram said.

“An abundance of caution to the safety of both the artist and the group, tomorrow’s MGM Music Hall engagement in Fenway has been canceled.”
