more often than not, Star Wars about redemption Darth Vader saves Luke. Ben Solo helps Rey. The Mandalorian Releases his code for Grogu. Up and down the list, characters that are once bad end up being good. So far though, on to the latest Star Wars show skeleton crew, We have seen the opposite. Zod Naud (Jude Law) has gone from a mischievous hero to a full-blown evil villain throughout the series and now, as we head towards the end, we’re left wondering, what’s going to happen next?
Obviously, your guess is as good as ours here. We haven’t seen the final episode yet, and everyone won’t until next Tuesday, January 14th at 9 pm EST. So don’t worry about spoilers. We’re just wondering if the show will keep its top-billed A-list star as a bad guy or if there’s even a chance it won’t.
To quickly recap, the four children who make up the crew meet Zod in a prison where he uses the Force to help them escape. He then becomes their de facto guide and leader as they attempt to return to their home planet At-Atin. Jod however, who is known by a different name to almost every character on the show, seems to be tagging along mainly out of kindness. He wanted to see if the legends were true. If At-Attin really had huge wealth.
So Zod took the crew across the galaxy, put together signals, and avoided any specifics about himself. We know he’s Force-sensitive. We think he was telling the truth about being lost and alone. He must have been a pirate captain before he made a few mistakes. But when it became clear that At-Atin was holding some kind of treasure, a switch went off. The antihero instantly becomes the selfish, evil pirate we met in the first scene of the series. and, The epilogue is at the end of the seventh episodeHe took things even further, killing his former first mate Brutus, brandishing a lightsaber to threaten the children. And their parents, and eventually discover At-Atin’s treasure.
In our minds, Skeleton crew Zod has taken such care to fully embrace his pirate side, it would almost be a betrayal to turn to him. at least in this Maybe the season, at the end of this season, he runs away and in a hypothetical next season, we see him learn the error of his ways. Anakin Skywalker, of course, very famously actually returns from the side of Having Killed Some Kids—in Zod’s grand scheme. Sure, he cleans off SM-33’s head, but he won’t step on the cute alien mouse to call that head home! If that switch happens now, however, this season, it will be a major disappointment if he immediately turns that way.
Zod’s arc was one of the true highlights of the show, setting up an emotional showdown between him and the four kids he pretended to save. Let’s keep it that way. Make the star of your show a bad guy. we don’t care We love it. if Skeleton crew Expects to go down as second-best Disney+ Star Wars Show up to date, it has to play it out and he has to dwell on that dark side for a little while longer.
