About a decade after the digital time capsule for the moments of your life, Snapchat is ready to pay a price in its memory feature. Organization Declaration Last week it is caping free memory storage in 5 GB.
If your memories go out of limits you need to export them or sign up to save them for Snapchat’s new memory storage plan.
The company told TechCrunch in an email that the launch storage plan provided 100 GB of storage for $ 1.99 per month. Snapchat+ users will get up to 250 GB storage as part of their $ 3.99 monthly subscription, while Snapchat Platinum users will get 5 TB as part of their $ 15.99 monthly subscription.
If you do not sign up for a plan, your oldest snaps will be saved, while the most recent storage will be deleted to stay at the storage limit.
Although the company has given users to 12 months of temporary storage for memories beyond 5GB limit, some users are actively choosing to export their memories instead of paying.
