Suspect in the shooting of Charlie Kirk, who does not cooperate with the authorities, says the governor of Utah

Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer “does not cooperate” with the authorities and did not admit to the shooting, Utah Governor Spencer Cox told us.

The suspect Tyler Robinson, 22, was taken in guard about 33 hours after Kirk, a 31-year-old right activist, was shot dead on Wednesday.

Speaking to ABC NewsCox, a Republican, said the people around Mr Robinson were cooperating with the investigation.

Robinson was arrested on Thursday night after surrendered to police.

Kirk spoke at the University of Utah Valley at an outdoor event conducted by Turning Point USA – the organization that he co -founded – when he was shot and killed.

Earlier, Cox told The Wall Street Journal that G -n -Robinson, a native of Utah, was “deeply indoctrized with the left ideology.”

“There is a lot more that we are learning so much that we will learn,” he explained, adding that when official accusations are raised, then there will be “much more evidence and information.”

The governor said that the co-workers of the authorities are Mr Robinson’s roommate, who, according to him, is also his partner.

He said the partner had no knowledge of the alleged shooting, was “incredibly cooperative” and worked with investigators “at the moment”.

He also confirmed that the partner “goes from a male to a woman” at the moment, but when asked by CNN, he said the authorities still did not know if it was important for the investigation.

A statement from Utah confirms that G -n -Robinson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder crimes, a firearm crime, and an obstruction of justice.

It is currently kept without guarantee in the Utah County Prison.

“We interview all kinds of people – everyone who knows it – and we are trying to learn more about what the motive really was,” Cox said.

Following the death of Kirk, Cox was highlighted in the summoning of unity in an attempt to alleviate political tensions and made multiple comments criticizing social media.

Previously, he called the social media “Cancer” and told CNN that the United States “removed the phones from the classrooms” and better efforts to retain platform owners to report.

He called Kirk’s shooting a “direct attack on America” ​​and said that Americans should “look in the mirror and decide, will we try to do it better or make it worse?”

Kirk was a strong supporter of weapons rights, cruelly opposed to abortions, critical of transgender rights and encouraging false claims about Covid-19.
