The Nigerian chef and former Guinness World Record Hilda Baki has tried to make the world’s most in the world Joloff Rice, a popular West African dish.
Thousands of people gathered in Lagos to watch the world’s most Food Influencer record offer after holding the 2023 title for the most long cooking marathon – exhausting 93 hours and 11 minutes – almost four days.
Her giant recipe for rice JOlof includes 4,000 kg (8,800 pounds) rice, 500 boxes of tomato paste and 600 kg onions – all poured into custom almost 23,000 liters.
The dish took a few hours to cook and now has to be validated by the Guinness World Record with photos and video evidence of the achievement.
The 28 -year -old Batsi told BBC Pidgin that she needed a year to plan how she would deal with Mammoth’s challenge.
“We are the giant of Africa and Joloff is a food that everyone knows the Africans,” she said.
“It would be a sense if we had the largest court with Joloff Rice, it would be nice for the country.”
The production of the giant steel ship to hold its dish took a culinary team of 300 two months to make.
Working with a group of assistants who have massive wooden spatulas, a backed backed dish was later widespread so that everyone could enjoy.
Joll Rice is a major Nigerian cuisine, including rice stewed in tomato sauce, often paired with meat or seafood.
Hilda Batsi won a competition for her version of Joloff Rice in 2021, and then became a national sensation in 2023 when she declared a marathon cooking record.
