A deal has been concluded between the US and China to maintain Tictac to run in the United States, according to US President Donald Trump.

“We have a deal for Tiktok. I achieved a deal with China. I will talk to my president on Friday to confirm everything,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House for a state visit to the United Kingdom.

The social media platform, which is managed by Chinese company Bytedance, has been said to have to sell its operations in the US or risk being closed.

However, Trump has repeatedly delayed the ban since it was first announced in January.

The US President said a buyer would soon be announced.

CNBC reported The deal will include a combination of current and new investors and will be completed in the next 30 to 45 days.

He also said the US technology company Oracle will retain its existing agreement to host Tiktok served in the United States.

It was one of the main concerns of US MPs who pointed out concerns about data shared with China on grounds of national security.

On Monday, an American trade delegation stated that there is achieved a “frame” deal With China against the background of wider trade negotiations in Madrid.

China confirmed the Framework Agreement, but said a transaction would not be concluded at the expense of the interests of their companies.

Following the talks, Vang Jingtao, the deputy manager of the Chinese Cyberspower Administration, proposed at a press conference the agreement to include “licensing the algorithm and other intellectual property rights”.

He added: “The Chinese government by law will consider and approve the relevant Tiktok issues, such as technology exports, as well as the use of an intellectual property license.”

After initially urging Tiktok to be banned during his first term, Trump turned his position in the popular video sharing platform.

In January, the The US Supreme Court has confirmed a lawAdopted in April 2024, banning the US app unless its Chinese parent company Bytedance sells its hand in the United States.

The US Department of Justice said, due to its access to data on US users, Tiktok is “a threat of national security of enormous depth and scale.”

However, Bytedance has resisted for sale, maintaining its operations in the US are completely separate and says that no information is being shared with the Chinese state.

Tiktok Briefly darkened in JanuaryBut this lasted less than the day before the initial ban on slowing down.

The deadline for sale has been since extended four timesAnd the last delay in the ban is to end on December 16th.
