The aircraft of the US Secretary of Defense Pete Heget made an unplanned landing in the UK during a return flight aimed at the United States, said the Pentagon of X.

The aircraft bearing a return heget from NATO’s Minister of Defense in Belgium had a “crack in the windshield of the aircraft”.

“The aircraft lands on the basis of standard procedures and all on board, including secretary heget, is safe,” the government said.

Later heget writes after landing: “All good. Thank God. The mission continued!”

The plane was off the coast of southern Ireland when it decided to turn back and land at the Royal Air Force Mildenhall.

Defense ministers gathered in Belgium on Wednesday to discuss security in Ukraine.

In February, a state aircraft transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio also had to turn due to a crack in the cockpit window.
