WIRED’s Global Editorial Director Katie Drummond kicks off our discussion this time, telling us how her father was recently contacted by a scam caller who tried to trick him with a voice that sounded like him. Fortunately no money was lost during that interaction, but it’s a stark reminder that AI-powered scams aren’t a future concern, but an issue worth considering now.
