In case you missed my e-mail a few weeks ago, Steve asked me to write a little more focused fitness content and a nutrition.
And since then I got a ton of emails from people who circling around the same thing: Lack of belief that I can actually Make change the work this time! I bet you can connect:
“The biggest challenge – loss of confidence in the process and oneself.”
“Having trust problems that it will be consistent to actually help and scare that no matter what I do I won’t fail.”
.
These fears are very, very normal. (Though not makes them less sucker to deal with!)
So what do we do when we feel seal and scared of how overwhelming Everything feels?
While every story is different, there is one thing I noticed that he really helps you have a bigger chance of success:
Momentum construction early – And then I protect that momentum.
Early victories make the rest of the journey easier.
And safe, the early victory can look like you see moving or stronger in the gym.
But these things are the results that come weeks or even months Later, after I consistently done “thing.” This is not useful when we feel insecure and flooded.
So I like to start by following and celebrating effort.
Choosing 1-2 of the repeatable actions you can exercise every day:
Each action is victory, which is a small sign of progress.
And if we can recognize and celebrate each store, it starts to build proof that “I am the type of person who can do it, even when it’s hard”.
And that little hope?
It can be enough to keep going through heavy parts.
Let’s take my client Ben, for example. He was in this correct same boat when we started working together.
So we talked openly about all these things – Real restrictions in his time and energy, fear that it would not work, and his hope for the future in which he felt better, and Fitness is not so hard to stick.
And then we chose a few things that we thought could be a good place to start.
✅ 10 min walk during lunch break
✅ List of transcripts on the order in restaurants around its work – so it would always have a good option even in finger
✅ Push-UPS with counterpoints every time he rated his teeth.
And while these actions may look Small, they had a transitional influence. They allowed us to build consistency and first practice overcoming obstacles, then we could take care of optimization for results later.
And the real magic happens to happen – not only in physical changes, but also for thinking:
“I am a person who appears.”
“May I trust myself to follow.”
“I know how to go back to the track when life happens.”
Ask any of our most successful clientsAnd they will say that the biggest change was not just in their body.
Their greatest change was actually how they thought About fitness, habits and who believed to be able to become.
When we start trying to optimize, we do everything “perfect,” from continuing, it can feel like we drowning and we can’t go on.
It just enhances the belief that we can’t make any changes. If we were just one of the people who “these things don’t.”
That is the exact trap we try to avoid!
Of course, the starting point of all is different. You may be able to skip right in the exercise routine for more days a week, or more aggressive dietary changes.
The point is not forcing you to take less than you are capable – to make sure you can balance “a challenge” with “feasible” so you can build believe in yourself and the process.
Fast forward two years, and Ben’s routine looks much different from where we started.
As Ben became stronger, he lost over 30kglead and saw his blood markers improve – everything started with the most important thing: construction.
So where does that leave you today? Here’s how I’d approach.
This is not an approach to “Rah-Rah” to ignore all heavy things. Identify that it is OK and normal to feel this way. (Steve actually just wrote about Concept of “Notification and Name” Here.)
Focus on repeated action (such as a short strength or protein session on two meals), not just the result you want. Think of it as practice. You won’t be perfect. You will make mistakes. And that’s all part of it.
In our coaching program, customers check the tasks every day and see the visible progress of their effort.
If you don’t have a coach, we like to use something we call Tractor:
Throw marble (or paper or coin) into a jar every time you do something aligned with your goals.
It’s a way for see Your consistency and progress, even before the mirror or scale reflects it.
You walked today?
Did he eat calm?
Skipped a spiral all or nothing or nothing?
That’s the victory is worth admitting. Process lead to the results.
If you feel stuck at the moment, or even hopeless, let’s see if we can switch the script.
We will start small. We will celebrate effort.
And we will build that momentum together.
You have this.
And if you want help choosing your first “quick victory”, just shoot me and I’ll help you find him.
