WhatsApp is adding a way to turn selfies into stickers

WhatsApp is adding new features including creating new stickers from selfies, sharing sticker packs and adding new camera effects. Stickers and camera effects are good engagement strategies for users to interact with their contacts.

Added the ability to chat app Create custom stickers from last year photos. Now, the company is adding an option to turn selfies directly into stickers. With the new update, you’ll see a camera option when you tap the “Create Sticker” button in the sticker menu. Then, you can take a selfie and the app will convert that photo into a sticker and save it to your sticker tray.

WhatsApp is adding a way to share links to sticker packs directly, so you can share your favorites with your friends.

What’s more, the Meta-owned app adds 30 backgrounds, filters and effects for photos and videos. The app introduced filters for video calls last year, and is now adding it to WhatsApp’s camera. Many of these effects resemble Snapchat lenses or Instagram filters.

WhatsApp is adding a new way to respond by double-tapping a message and highlighting the most used responses.
