Why do we sponsor baby football league and what has to do with fitness

Spread the love

My daughter was terrified in his first football practice. She didn’t know anyone. She wasn’t sure she would be good enough or what her teammates would think of her.

But by the end of the hour she buzzed with excitement. Thanks to the coach, who tried to feel every child as if they belonged, support teammates and a lot of positive reinforcement.

That moment reminded me why Nerd Fitness exists.

That spirit – that everyone feels seen, encouraged and part of the team, no matter what their starting point is – that’s exactly what I think missing from most fitness industry.

Too often, the gym and classes feel like a competitive sports league – designed for people who already like to work, but feel confident, but know what they are doing.

But what if you’re “new child” you enter your first exercise at the age of 30 … or 50 … or 70? It can feel just as scary as the nine-year-old first passed her curtains.

In Nerd Fitness, we want to overturn that script.

✅ Regardless of your skill level, here is a place for you.

✅ everyone gets “play”

✅ The goal is not to be the best in the room – it’s a little better, together.

It is not an accident that my daughter felt like that in my practice. REC leagues We are part built around this central idea:

Everyone deserves a chance to play, and everyone deserves a chance to fall in love with football.

Everything in the league, from administration, coaches, as teammates treat each other with each other.

Just as if it is not an accident that people stumbled on Nerd fitness and feel similar. I just got this message from the reader this week:

“So, I’m very grateful I found your site! Encouraging and supporting and start thinking that I can go back to the party again.” “

Fitness is for everyone in any body. And everyone deserves the opportunity to find a fitness that works for them.

That is why we decided to sponsor the local football league of my daughter in the suburban indiana this upcoming autumn season.

Not because it will bring us a ton of attitudes, clicks or likes.

But because the fitness should feel like the first practice: encouraging, playful and focused on leveling a little from where you started – where you are leaving with excitement instead of fear.

So if you ever felt like you didn’t build a world for you, I want you to know: You belong here. You have a seat at the table. And there we are here to help you find joy in movement, no matter where you start.

And if you’re already experienced and you found a thing – amazing! We are so grateful for being here to continue to learn and help support others on their journey.

Let’s play.
