A backlog at the Commerce Department is reportedly stalling Nvidia’s H20 chip licenses

Earlier in July, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik Nvidia gave chipmerers Green Light will start selling some AI chips in China againHowever, it is reported that his department will hold the issues.

Accordingly Reporting from ReutersNvidia has not yet received a license to sell its H20 AI chips.

The US Commerce Department is currently sitting in a backlog of licensing applications due to turmoil within the department, mostly due to the loss of employees towards Reuters and the breakdown of contact with the industry.
