An assistant, who worked as a leading member of the far -right AFD party in Germany, received a prison for four years and nine months to spy on China.

Jian Goo worked in Brussels for Maximilian Kra, a member of the European Parliament for five years until last year. Kra is already a deputy in the German parliament.

The Dresden Court in East Germany heard how the former KRA assistant had collected information and handed over confidential documents to the Chinese authorities between 2019 and 2024.

Jian Goo maintained his innocence, insisting that he did not work for Chinese intelligence, and KRA told the court last month that he had only learned of accusations against his former media employee.
