A head crash between the police van and a prison bus kills 14 in Namibia

A major clash in Namibia, including vehicles belonging to the security services, killed 14 people, including 11 prison service members, a police officer and two civilians.

The incident took place 270 km (167 miles) south of the capital, Windhoek, outside the town of Mariental on Saturday.

“No words can really capture the depth of this loss,” wrote President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in social media, praised the “souls of our fallen officers.”
