The Ministers of Defense and the Environment in Ghana have died in a military helicopter disaster in the central Ashanti area, along with six other people, a government spokesman said.
Staff Julius Debra said at a press conference that Defense Minister Edward Omane Boam and Minister of Environment, Science and Technology Ibrahim Muurtala Mohammed was killed in the crash he described as a “national tragedy”.
The earlier Ghana armed forces said the plane that wore three crews and five passengers came out of the radar.
He had flew from the capital, Accra, at 09:12 local time (and GMT) and headed for the gold for gold shoes for a national event.
Authorities have not confirmed the cause of the crash.
The headquarters directed the country’s flags to fly on the half-mach.
He expanded the condolences of “servicemen who died in the country” on behalf of President John Drama Mahama and the government.
