Thanks to artificial intelligence technology, a county in Kentucky operated a one-month “Town Hall” in the presence of about 8,000 residents earlier this year.
Bowling Green, Kentucky’s third largest city and a part of Warren County, faces a large population spike by 20. In order to make the city to prepare, County officials wanted to include the input of this community.
Community Outreach Strong Business: Town Halls, while extensively employed, do not tend to collect lots of crowds, and when people come, it is not just a self-election pool and city representative of strong negative views.
On the other hand, by collecting the views of the larger part of the city through online survey, a datasate will be so high that the authorities and volunteers can have a very difficult time to collide through them and explain it.
Instead, the Bowling Green County Officer had the AI part of the AI. And the participation was huge: in almost a monthly online survey, about 10% of bowling green residents expressed their views on the principles that they wanted to see in their city. The results were then synthesized by an AI tool and made in a policy report, which is still visible to the public to see it WebsiteThe
Warren County judge executive Doug Gorman said, “If I have a Town Hall meeting on these topics, 23 people show.” PBS News Hour In an interview published this week. “And what we just managed was the largest town hall in America.”
County received the help of a local strategy firm to launch a website in February where residents could submit anonymous ideas. For the survey they have used Poll.ISAn open source online polling platform used around the world for civic busyness and especially for great success TaiwanThe
The prompt was open, only the participants asking what they would like to see in their community within the next 25 years. Then they can vote in other answers and participate more.
Within 33 days of receiving the answers, the weight of about 8,000 residents was more than a million and shared about 4,000 unique ideas for new museums, pedestrian infrastructure, green space and more.
The answers were then compiled in an report using an AI equipment in Google Tech Incubator Gigs, which analyzed a large set of online conversation, categorized what was stated in overwhelming topics and analyzed contracts and disagreements to create functional insights.
At the end, the sensor found 2,370 ideas that at least 80% of respondents could agree. Most of the concepts include increasing the amount of healthcare experts in the city so that residents do not have to rely on services an hour away from Nashville, the empty retailers have to be rebuilt and added more restaurants on the north side of the city.
Online surveys were able to reach out to people who were otherwise deprived of politically or who could not find time to join the town halls.
The format was better in order to reach the migrants by providing surveys in multiple languages and then translated the answers to immigrants. It is the people like Daniel Taranagada, Burkina Faso’s immigrant and local non -profit founder who lead an under -5 ex immigrants who fight English.
“I knew that people want to be part of something. But if you don’t ask, you don’t know,” Taranagada told the PBS.
The project volunteers are now compiling concepts from the report to recommend concrete policies to the county leadership at the end of the year. According to a survey conducted with local leaders, Jigs saved AI County on average 20 Work Day.
The bowling green test was the first large -scale proof of the sensitive concept, Gigs wrote in a blog article earlier this year.
One of the most interesting things they find in the bowling grin is when the ideas were anonymous and political identity were snatched, the elements discovered that they agreed on many issues.
“When most of us do not participate in, people usually have the most powerful opinion, perhaps the least-ignorant, enraged, and then starting to get a caricatchard idea of what you think and believe in the other side. So the most we can do with AI is how to help us stay together.”
Jigs announced this week that they are now a research and public polling company founded by the famous Polster Scott Rasmussen, which is now part of the American founder ideal from every Congressional district, and now parting to compile information about where it is going on. Unlike the bowling green test, the goal is not the policy but to understand where the nation stands.
In the local administration there is anxiety involved in this test with AI. Although the Website of the Bowling Green Survey clearly mentions that “no personal information has been detected, and no population data has been stored,” that does not mean that any other future application will be followed anywhere else.
Artificial intelligence is a concern for privacy because of their weakness for data violations, which people become a doxx for the political belief that they submitted with their confidence will become a problem.
There is also a problem with the AI manufacturers being baked in the algorithm. Last month, researchers saw that Elon musk Groke Before answering the sensitive questions, the chatbot will consult Kastor’s own -separated opinion. If an AI creates a neutral policy suggestion, such errors like this will be inevitable.
However, if these concerns are adequately resolved, then AI citizen may have the potential to fully revolutionize the busyness. And it can show a way to remove the political polarization of the past and effective change, similar to the way AI created a place to find a common place for the bowling grin community.
