A man arrested after a “serious incident” in North Dublin

A man has been arrested after a “serious incident” in Stonebater in North Dublin, Irish police said.

Three men were injured during the incident on Sunday afternoon.

Two are described as serious but not life-threatening injuries, while the third person suffered a less serious injury.

Irish state operator RTE News reports that the injuries have suffered “injuries of the type”.

The man who was arrested is currently detained in a police station.

The President of the Son Fein and the local TD (a member of the parliament) Mary Lou McDonald said in a publication of X: “My thoughts are wounded and their families. The community is in a state of shock.

“Gardaí (Irish police) and emergency services must be praised for their response.”

Police said they were still investigating all the circumstances of the incident and said a number of technical inspection scenes were currently being retained in the Stoneibater area.

They also appealed all witnesses to go out.
