A man arrested after an alleged arson attack at the Governor’s home

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and should be charged with a presumptive arson attack against the official residence of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, authorities said.

Cody Balmer is against accusations of attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated arson and aggravated attack.

The arrest came hours after Shapiro often advertised as a future contender for the White House, waking up in the middle of the night to fuck at the door of his home until the fire was spread.

At a press conference on Sunday, Shapiro said he was “obviously emotional” as he recalled what had happened. Democrat and his family managed to evacuate unharmed, but their home in the capital of Harisburg site was very damaged.

“I refuse to be trapped by slavery that someone tried to put on me by attacking us, as he did last night,” he told reporters.

“When we were in the state dining room last night, we told the story of Passover,” he said – added that Balmer’s motives were unknown.

Deputy Police Commissioner George Bovem said the suspect had a home -based device in his possession and was arrested in the Harisburg area.

Authorities believe the suspect managed to jump on a fence around the home and enter to start the flame that is still being investigated.

State authorities said the explosion – which was extinguished – caused “significant damage to part of the residence.”

The governor and his family were in a different part of the brick home when the fire was set on fire, police explained.

The Harisburg Fiery Bureau said it worked to throw away the flame while police focused on the evacuation of Shapiro and his family.

Authorities had offered a $ 10,000 award (£ 7,600) for information that led to any arrest. It is unclear whether the advice that led to the arrest of Balmer, which remains in custody.

Shapiro and his wife Lori have four children together: Sofia, Jonah, Max and Ruben.

The governor was considered a possible ruling half for former Vice President Kamala Harris during her running for president last year. In the end, she chose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

The residence of the Governor of Pennsylvania in Harisburg has been home to a Georgian style of 29,000 square feet since 1968, which housed eight governors.

Shapiro has been the manager of Pennsylvania since 2023 after working as a Prosecutor General of the State.
