A man who disappeared after a rare shark attack in Israel

A swimmer is missing after an extremely rare shark attack off the coast of northern Israel on Monday.

It happened in the sea in Hader, about 40 km (25 miles) north of Tel Aviv.

The incident witnessed Olga Beach people who can be heard shocking in shocks published on social media.

The sharks are known to be collected where hot water is thrown out of a local power plant, and especially at this time of year, but they are usually harmless.

There are no fatal shark attacks in the waters near Israel, as the country was founded in 1948.

Police have closed the beach and a search for the missing man is running.

“I was in the water, I saw blood and there were screams,” a witness said, in front of the YNET News website.

“I was a few meters from the shore,” he said. “It’s horrifying. We were here yesterday and we saw the sharks go around us.”

It is known that the tramples and sanbaric sharks are grouped in the area dominated by the power plant Orot Rabin, the largest in Israel.

They are attracted to the water, warmed by the plant and by fish, which are transferred there by the nearby stream.

The incident on Monday is only the fourth documented shark attack in Israel’s history, according to YNET.
