Rachel Morin was killed along a pedestrian walkway in Maryland in 2023.

An illegal immigrant from El Salvador was sentenced to life without a conditional release for the murder of a five -American mother – in a case summoned by President Donald Trump to support his border security.

24-year-old Victor Martinez-Hernandez was found guilty this year in rape and murder of 37-year-old Rachel Morin on a pedestrian walkway in Bell Air, Maryland, in August 2023.

He attacked her, his head broke out, and strangled her before hiding his body in a drainage water supply, he listened to the court.

The killer is also associated with a home invasion of 2023 in Los Angeles and was wanted in El Salvador for the murder of another woman, according to prosecutors.

He showed a little emotion as he learned his fate on Monday.

Judge Yolanda Curtin condemned him to life for first -degree conviction, life of rape prosecution, and an additional 40 years for a third -degree sexual crime and abduction. He will serve the entire sentence in Maryland Prison.

He was arrested in June 2024 after a 10-month Manhnt Manht, Oklahoma.

“Probably, Harford County has never seen a case or a defendant, more dedicated every day than the maximum sentences that the court has imposed,” prosecutor Alison Helly said outside the Court of Justice.

In a statement by the victim before the sentence was betrayed, the mother of the victim Pati Morin said, “The brutality of her murder will pursue us for the rest of our lives.”

Voice records of the children of G -Ja Morin, ranging from the age of nine to 15 years, were played for the court.

In a message addressed to their mother, one of the children said, “Now I have to spend more time without you than I with you.”

Rachel’s bigger brother, Michael Morin, told the court that his Christian faith forced him to offer the forgiveness to the killer.

According to immigration and application of customs, the killer has illegally entered the United States and was sent back across the US and Mexico border three times in 2023.

During last year’s White House Election Campaign, Trump detained the murder of Gja Morin and other so -called angelic families – those with loved ones who were killed by illegal immigrants – as he promised to close the border between the United States and Mexico.

Most studies show that undocumented immigrants are no more likely to participate in crime than US citizens.

The Morin family supported Trump’s Border Security campaign.

Michael Morin addressed the Republican National Convention last summer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

“The open boundaries are often presented as compassionate and virtuous, but there is nothing compassionate about allowing violent criminals in our country and robbing their mother’s children,” he said.

In April, against the backdrop of the escalating display between the President and the Immigration Judiciary, the White House invited G -Ja Morin’s mother to turn to a briefing in the media.
