A woman killed in an ax attack at Polish University

A woman was killed and a man was severely injured in an attack on an ax at Warsaw University on Wednesday, according to Polish police.

A 22-year-old Polish man was arrested in connection with the attack, which the university called “a huge tragedy.”

Both casualties worked at the university. In a statement, the university said the murdered woman was a staff member and the wounded man worked for security.

The motive is not yet known for the attack.

Police said the attacker entered college at college at 18:40 local time (16: 40GMT).
