The French police saved the father of a millionaire at cryptocurrency, who was abducted and detained for ransom in a Paris suburb.
The unnamed man was attacked in the daylight in Central Paris on Thursday. It was complete in a van of four men carrying balaclava, police sources told Le Figaro.
The French media claim that the victim disappeared one finger when he was rescued from a house in Palais, south of Paris, on Saturday.
Four suspects were arrested. This is the third abduction related to the French cryptocurrency industry so far this year.
The victim is reported in the latter case. The Le Parisian newspaper said his abductors had asked for his rich son to pay 5-7 million euros ransom (4.2-5.9 million pounds).
Police were reported to have been kept in the house on telephone alerts. The four suspects are called into question.
In a post of X late on Saturday, French Interior Minister Bruno Deptile congratulated investigators for “exceptional work in the release of that person.”
The incident comes less than four months after David Baland, co-founder of the cryptocurrency company, was abducted with his wife at their home in central France.
They were rescued by police within days. Balland also had a cut finger.
Criminals had requested a ransom of € 10 million (8.5 million British pounds). Six men and a woman were arrested in connection with this case.
And in early January, a 56-year-old man was found alive in the trunk of a car near the western city of Le Mans.
Media reports say his abductors have tried to blackmail money from their son, influencing the Dubai -based cryptocurrency.
