Oscar -winning actor Jean Hakman died of natural reasons for about a week after his wife Betsy Arakawa, who died after infected with a rare virus, says a medical researcher in New Mexico.
Oscar-winning actor, 95, died at his home in Santa Fe from the disease of the coronary artery, with advanced Alzheimer’s disease being a contributing factor.
D -Ja Arakava, 65 years old, died in the same house of the Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS), a rare but serious respiratory disease caused by exposure to infected rodent disposal.
Authorities believe she died about seven days before her husband. Her reason for death was cited as natural. In a wide -ranging career, Hakman won two Oscar awards for the French relationship and unforgivable.

Given that the hackman was in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s disease, “it is possible that he is not aware that she (his wife) has died,” said Dr. Jarel.
She told reporters that “she is not aware of his normal daily functioning ability.”
He had “significant heart disease and in the end it led to his death,” said Dr. Jarel.
He had eaten nothing lately, but showed no indications of dehydration, she added.
“It was possible that he was not aware that she had died.”
HPS is transmitted by contact with rodents, urine or saliva disposal, often when inhaled contaminated dust.
At the press conference, the veterinarian of public health, Erin Fips Erin Fips emphasized that hantavirus infections were extremely rare.
She noted that in the last 50 years 136 cases have been reported and 42% have led to casualties.
Phipps said that evidence of rodent activity was found in some buildings on the property, although the risk inside the main house is considered “low”.
Investigators are trying to determine how d -Arakava encounters the disease. Hakman tests negative for Hantavirus.
Although rare, the disease can lead to respiratory failure in some cases.
The couple, who had been married for more than 30 years, were found at their home after the neighborhood was guarded by the well -being and saw their bodies on the ground through the window.
The couple’s bodies were found in advanced stages of decomposition.
Hakman’s body was in Siderom to the kitchen, with a pedestrian cane and a pair of sunglasses nearby, according to a search application.

The sheriff’s deputies have found medicines for the treatment of the thyroid gland and blood pressure, along with the anesthesia of Tylenol, according to the inventory, laid by the vessel.
Referring to the laws of confidentiality, the authorities do not reveal which drugs were prescribed.
One of the couple’s three dogs was also found dead in the crate near the d -Aza Arakava while the other two dogs were alive.
The cause of the dog’s death is yet to be determined, employees say.
Initial investigations found no signs of a forced entry or counterfeit game in their home of $ 3.8 million (3 million pounds). Carbon monoxide poisoning tests were negative and no significant gas leaks were found.
Hakman has survived from three elderly children from his previous marriage.
