Air India’s crash report may give answers but not closing

Air India’s preliminary report on last month gives a certain idea of what caused it.

It states that both fuel control switches are moved to the cut position – a step that usually excludes the engines – moments before the aircraft crashes.

But as experts analyze the findings of the report, it provides a little comfort to the families who have lost their loved ones.

Samira Hussein of the BBC met with Swedet Parihar, whose husband died in the crash. “We trusted the airline. What is the point of investigating now?” she said.
