Airports in Moscow temporarily closed after attacks by Ukraine drones

The sustainable Ukrainian drone attack on Russia has prompted Moscow’s main airports to be temporarily closed and at least 140 flights have seen, employees said.

More than 230 Ukrainian drones have been dropped over Russia since Saturday morning – including 27 over the capital – according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to Russia’s aviation guard, the four major airports serving the capital were broken and more than 130 flights also had to be diverted. Since then, all have resumed normal operations.

In the meantime, at least three people were killed during Russian air strikes in Ukraine overnight, according to regional officials.

The Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) said on Sunday that airports in Moscow were closed 10 times in 24 hours due to strikes.

The Kaluga region, southwest of Moscow, was also affected. The Russian Ministry of Defense said it had captured 45 drones as a result of which Kaluga International Airport was also temporarily closed.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said the drones were also removed in regions near the Ukrainian border, including Rostov and Bryansk, as well as over the Black Sea. No death are reported.

The Ukraine Air Force said they had removed 18 of 57 Russian drones overnight on Sunday, while seven more drones were lost after their radars were stuck.

In addition to the amounts of Donetsk, other front areas of Harkiv and Denipropetrovsk were attacked, as well as the attachment.

Recent attacks come when the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to move on to peaceful workload with Ukraine, but Moscow’s priority is to “achieve our goals.”

“President Putin has repeatedly talked about his desire to lead to the Ukrainian agreement to a peaceful conclusion as soon as possible. This is a long process, it requires effort and not easy,” he said in a television interview.

It has been nearly three and a half years since Moscow started its full -scale invasion in Ukraine.

On Saturday, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested a new circle of conversations with MoscowAimed at restarting the negotiations that stopped last month.

The previous attempts of Russia and Ukraine to negotiate the termination of the fighting failed to reach the cessation of fire, but led to an exchange of prisoners.

Zelenski also repeated his willingness to meet Russian Vladimir Putin face -to -face, saying, “A leadership meeting is needed to guarantee really peace.”
