Apple launches iPhone 17 Pro with major camera upgrades

Apple has launched the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with a new design and an upgrade camera system.

The devices are new to the new A 19 Pro chipset and have a larger battery, Apple said. Also, it is mentioned that only ESIM-cable models will have some larger battery compared to pro models with physical SIM.

The new Pro phone has an aluminum unibody instead of titanium used on the previous year’s iPhone.

The agency says it designed a new steam chamber heat system with the new unibody.

The company is upgrading the telephoto camera at a 48-megapixel sensor from a 12-megapixel sensor. With the change of sensor, users will be able to get an 8x optical zoom. This is one of the highest optical zoom capabilities in the market, providing 8.7x optical zoom with the periscope kit of Vivo X 200.

Apple is giving 40x digital zoom. It is less than 100x given by Google or Samsung, but it is not clear whether Apple is using AI like these companies.

All of these are covered by a new rectangular camera bar on the entire width of the iPhone.

The selfie camera is also getting upgraded from 12-megapixel to 18-megapixel sensor. Apple will now allow a video recording from both the front and rear camera at the same time.

The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $ 1,099 and the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts $ 1199.
