Apple TV’s tvOS 26 gets ‘Liquid Glass’ treatment and profile-switching feature

Apple has released an update of its Apple TV operating system, during TVOS 26 W. of W. 2025 Event on Monday, features “Liquid Glass” aesthetic for Apple TV It provides a soft and “offensive” design, the company says.

One of the standout features for users is the ability to jump on their own user profile quickly. Apple TV will now present profile options while waking up, it will make them more convenient to choose their profile for each family member and quickly resume their own desired shows and movies.

The reconstruction Apple TV app also has new poster arts on the main screen, so that more shows and movies can be displayed. Additionally, the control center, where users can perform the action such as starting a sleeping timer or adjusting audio, received liquid glass treatment. It ensures that the video goes to the center of the audience while watching content.

In addition, TVOS 26 introduces a new API for developers that links the app logins to an Apple account, making the sign-in process easier for users when setting a new device.
