Apple will start using AI technology to discover apps in the App Store, the company has announced this week’s global developer conference (WWLODC 25).

In a session focusing on the App Store Connect updates for the developers, the company announced that it would introduce App Store Tags – the labels that highlight the specific features and effectiveness found in an application.

These tags will primarily be generated by Apple’s large language models using various sources such as Apple’s metader. Then they will be human-read before applying to the app store applications.

Apple customers will be able to use these tags when searching the app store applications, where the tags will be displayed in addition to the applications displayed in categories and search results on the search page.

Apple says that new tags are often buried in the application list, such as the app store details, categories, metadata or even its screenshots buried in information. Apple believes that tags will help users to easily find applications that provide the effectiveness they are looking for, as well as developers give a better idea of how their applications are being discovered.

Today, customers look for applications through several App Store features by browseing the appsh sections, or the app store searching by its editorial pieces, the editorial team of the App Store. The Apple App Store also cashs with ads that can be displayed on the Today Tab, Search Tab, Product Pages, and its search results.

When the App Store users tap one of the new tags, they will be taken on a new page that provides a revised collection of all applications and games that provide similar features or effectiveness – an extension of the existing feature of the App Store that indicates that users are found below separate list.

Although the tags themselves have been AI-arranged and reviewed, developers will have the final word on which the tags are associated with their applications. A new information page will be available in the App Store Connect software, where they can handle the tags or deny those who do not want to appear on the product page of their app.

Apple is already using AI in his App Store to summarize the reviews of an app by combining information in a short paragraph.

Tags are not the only improvement that is coming to the App Store. Apple says that developers will be able to create custom product pages that appear when a user searches apps using specific keywords. It also improves the “Nutrition Label” feature; The lineup of the app age ranges is to extend (now there are five); And extend the offer codes in customerable, non-comprehensive and non-reconstruction subscriptions.
