Productivity software giant Atlasian is still creating its largest acquisition to add a developer productivity tool to its product suite.

The Atlasian announced Thursday that it has agreed to achieve the developer productivity insight platform DX Cash and restricted stocks for $ 1 billion. Enterprises use DX to analyze how productive their engineering parties are and detects the obstacles slowly.

DX launched Abi Noda and Graceon Janggren five years ago. Noda said TechCrunch in 2022 He established this company to find a better way to understand what prevents engineering teams. At that time, he felt that the metrics used as Github’s product manager were not giving him the whole picture, and he wanted to create something better that the developers didn’t think they were surveyed.

“Ship products were different about the ideas we had to help the products quickly to help the groups and the developers were different,” Noda told TechCrunch at that time. “Even the teams had no awareness of their own problems and leadership.”

DX came out of the stealth in 2022, and since then its customer base has increased threefold every year. The company now works with more than 350 enterprise customers, including ADP, Aden and Githabab, while the company raised less than $ 5 million for the initiative fund.

Atalasian co-founder and CEO Mike Canon-Bruks TechCrunch told TechCrunch that after trying to create an internal developer productivity insight equipment, his Sydney, Australia-based company realized that it was understandable to find an external, existing alternative.

DX was a natural choice, Canon-Bruks said 90% of DX customers considering that Atlasian project management and cooperation equipment was also used.

“DX has done an amazing job [of] Canon-Bruks said

He also added that the time was correct because of the rise of AI equipment and the companies are looking for ways to measure how to use.

“Suddenly these budgets are rising to you that is going upstairs that is what is this good thing?” Cannon-Bruks. “Isn’t this the best thing? What am I spending in the right way? This is true, truly important and criticizing” ”

He also added that there was great cultural fit here. Cannon-Bruks said he had always felt a relationship for Utah-based entrepreneurs — DX Saltlake is located in City — and he likes that both companies were able to scale without too much outside funds.

The feeling was mutual.

Noda told TechCrunch this week that he thought that DX and Atlasian differently differently different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different from the data.

Noda said, “We have been able to get data with that entire flyohill and understand where we are unhealthy.” “They can plug at the Atlasian equipment and solutions to solve those obstacles. An end to end flyohill that customers want to end.”

The DX’s platform will be integrated into the extensive Atalasian product suite.

This is the second acquisition of the Atlasian this month. The company has announced that it is buying the AI-browser developer Browser In early September.
