The nephew of the President of Equatorial Guinea Theodoro Obiang Ngema, who was at the center of the sex tape scandal last year, was sentenced to eight years in prison for assignment.
Baltasar Ebang Engonga, former head of the National Financial Investigation Agency, divert money for personal use, the court ruled.
The nickname “White” because of its good appearance, the married Engoga gained fame last year when he appeared in leaking videos, having sex with different women – many of them wives and relatives of people close to the center of power.
The leakage happened while he was in custody, charged with depositing a huge sum of misappropriated money in secret Cayman Islands accounts.
He was found guilty of five other employees who claim that money as a travel allowance – the sums ranged from $ 9,000 ($ 6,600) to $ 220,000.
The arrest of Engonga last October and public humiliation is regarded as an attempt to destroy any hope that the next Petrol -rich Central African state will become.
His uncle is the longest-time president in the world, who has been in power since 1979 and appointed his son Theodoro Obiang Mag as his vice president.
Engonga was investigating crimes such as money laundering, but ended up in the scandalous prison on the Black Beach in the capital Malabo after being accused of corruption.
His phones and computers were seized and a few days later intimate videos began to appear online in their dozens.
