Billy Joel feels “good” after diagnosis of brain disorder

Billy Joel says he feels “good”, two months after announcing his diagnosis with a rare brain condition with normal hydrocephalus pressure (NPH).

As he was a casual podcast of Bill Maher, the five -time winner in Grammy said his condition “still works” and he struggled with his balance.

“I feel good, they continue to refer to what I have as a brain disorder, so it sounds much worse than what I feel,” said song author.

Joel was forced to cancel a series of concert dates in May this year after his doctors told him that his condition was “exacerbated by recent performances.”

Joel canceled 17 planned performances In North America and Europe in 2025 and 2026, including the stadium shows in Murifield in Edinburgh and Anfield in Liverpool.

Joel, who is known for hits, including Girl Girl and Piano Man, has been on a regular basis in recent years. He completed a record residence of a decade in Madison Square Garden in New York last year.
