On Tuesday, the autonomous mobile robot manufacturer Brightpick announced a high addition to his current line. Appropriate nomenclature Giraff The system is significant for its large, retractable platform capable of reaching up to 20 feet (6 meters) from the warehouse shelves. This is a fancy outlook for warehouses, including ceiling from both the standard AMR and their human colleagues.
The giraffe performs the fame through a telescoping arm with the three overlapping category, which measures 8.5 feet when fully stole. Instead of continually expanding and withdrawal of 11.5 feet, the system is designed to work in conjunction with the existing autopic robot of the Kentucky Company. That AMR, which sports two supplies, extends up to 11 feet and combines the larger robot with half the way.
Systemic Telescoping warehouse robot The London -based decoration is Dexerry, though the subsequent “Dexerview” platform is featured of sensors simply to scan the shelves. There are more difficult tasks to transfer the giraffe shelves.
The initial competition for Dexeri for the tall-shelf warehouse Inventory is like Drone-based scanning startups such as Gateted AI, Varity and Corvus. In fact, the payloads are very high for lifting and running quadcopters, so they will probably not violate the giraffe’s turf soon.
The more appropriate comparison is the automatic storage and recovery systems provided by companies such as autosore and cardex. Installing them tightly packed grid solutions, it is difficult to repair and is usually less flexible with inventory size. On the other hand, Brightpick’s order is the Picking Solution, rotating around the AMRS and recovering the list from more traditional warehousing shelves.
Bionichev provides another solution in the form of its squid systems, which ride on shelf-mounted tracks to recover the list. Amazon Investment Israeli Robotics Startup as part of its industrial innovative fund in 2022.
In the fast automatic warehouse and the logistic world, there are plenty of places for the different forms and the wide range of solutions.
Brightpick is turning the giraffe for two major customers in 2021. E-commerce retailer feed will appoint 731 autopicers along with six giraffes in the Colorado facility. The Medical Supply Farm McGouf, a California warehouse, is deploying four more modestly four giraffes and a dozen autopicors.
Brightpick claims that giraffe/autopica combo 3X manual, allows 3X for warehouse concentration of human-based activities, while doubles its own existing solution.
