Israel must respond to what justifies the murder of “desperate starving children” – Lami

The United Kingdom and 27 other countries have called for an immediate end to the Gaza war, where they say that civilian suffering has “reached new depths.”

A joint statement states that the model of delivery of Israel help is dangerous and condemns what he calls “dripping the help and inhuman murder of civilians” seeking food and water.

The Gaza Hamas Ministry of Health said more than 100 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli fire while waiting for food over the weekend and that 19 others were killed as a result of malnutrition.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry rejected the statement of the countries, saying it was “excluded from reality and sending the wrong message to Hamas.”

The ministry has accused the armed group for the distribution of lies and undermining the distribution of aid, instead of agreeing to a new transaction to end the fire and hostage.

There are many international statements condemning Israel’s tactics in Gaza in the last 21 months of his war with Hamas. But this declaration is remarkable for its honesty.

The signators are the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom and 27 other countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, New Zealand and Switzerland.

The statement begins with a declaration that “the Gaza War must end now.”

He then warns: “The suffering of civilians in gas has reached new depths.

“We condemn the drip feeding of the help and the inhuman murder of civilians, including children, wanting to meet their most basic needs for water and food. It is horrifying that over 800 Palestinians were killed while seeking help.

Later, the United Kingdom Foreign Secretary, David Lamy, told the House of Municipalities that he was being held in Gaza that the Gaza was held “Liathaws of Horror”, including strikes that killed “desperate, starving children”.

Deciding an additional 40 million pounds of humanitarian aid this year, Lamie said he was “an unwavering supporter of Israel’s security and his right to exist”, but government’s actions “caused Israel’s position in the world and undermine Israel’s long -term security.”

There are almost daily reports about the murder of Palestinians while waiting for food from May, when Israel has partially relieved a total of an 11-week blockade to deliver the aid to Gaza and, together with the United States

Israel said the GHF system, which uses private security contractors to distribute food parcels from sites in Israeli military zones, prevent deliveries from being stolen by Hamas.

But the UN and its partners have refused to cooperate with the system, stating that it is dangerous and violates the humanitarian principles of impartiality, neutrality and independence.

Last Tuesday, the UN Human Rights Service said it had recorded 674 murders near GHF help places as they started working eight weeks ago. Another 201 murders were recorded on the UN and other convoys for help, he added.

On Saturday, another 39 people were killed near two GHF sites in Khan Eunice and the nearby Rafa, according to the Health Ministry of Gaza. The Israeli military said his troops were launching warning shots to prevent the “suspects” approaching them before the objects were opened.

And on Sunday, the ministry said 67 people had been killed when they headed for a UN truck convoy near a crossroads in North Gaza. The Israeli military said troops were launching warning shots of the crowd “to eliminate an immediate threat,” but challenged the numbers killed.

Following the incident, the World Food Program warned that Gaza’s hungry crisis had “reached new levels of despair”.

“People are dying of a lack of humanitarian aid. Malnutrition is increasing with 90,000 women and children in urgent need for treatment,” the UN agency said.

The Gaza Hamas Ministry of Health said on Monday that 19 people were killed as a result of malnutrition since Saturday and warned of potential “mass deaths” in the coming days.

“Hospitals can no longer provide food for patients or staff, many of whom are physically unable to continue working due to exceptional hunger,” Dr. Halil al-Dakran, a spokesman for Al-Aqsa Hospital at Deir Al-Bala, told.

“Hospitals cannot provide a single bottle of milk to children suffering from hunger because all baby formulas have leaked from the market,” he added.

Residents also report that markets are closed due to food shortages.

“My kids are hungry all night. They have only had a small lens plate over the past three days. There is no bread. A pound of flour was $ 80 (59 pounds) a week ago,” said Mohammed Emad al-Din, Barber and father to the BBC.

Medics at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza said that Alaa Al-Nadjar’s three-month-old baby, Jehia, died as a result of malnutrition

The statement of the 27 countries also said that Israeli proposals to move all 2.1 million gas to the so-called “humanitarian city” in the area of southern Rafa were unacceptable, noting that “the constant forced shift is a violation of international humanitarian law.”

They call on Israel, Hamas and the international community to “associate this terrible conflict, through an immediate, unconditional and constant cessation of fire.”

And they warn that they are “ready to take additional action to support the immediate cessation of fire and political path to security and peace.”

This is seen by many as a Palestinian state recognition code, something many countries have done, but not all, including the UK and France.

Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Oren Marmorstein has rejected criticism.

“All statements and all claims must be directed to the only country responsible for the lack of a deal to release hostages and ceasefire: Hamas, who began this war and prolonged it,” he said.

“Instead of agreeing to the cessation of fire, Hamas is busy campaign to spread lies about Israel. At the same time, Hamas deliberately acts to increase friction and damage to civilians who come to receive humanitarian aid,” he added.

The Israeli military said earlier this month that they admitted that there were incidents where civilians had been injured while seeking help and that it was working to minimize “possible friction between the population and (Israeli) forces as much as possible”.

The Israeli military authority responsible for the coordination of aid, COGAT, also said on Monday that Israel “is acting in accordance with international law and is making efforts to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza in coordination with international organizations.”

In the meantime, a GHF spokesman appealed to UN agencies to join his operation, while accusing them of “stopping” the work and that they were unable to deliver supplies throughout the territory.

Chapin Faye told reporters that he was at border crossroads where he saw supplies for the help of rot because UN agencies would not deliver them.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that 700 truck loads were waiting to be taken from the UN from the crossings.

The UN said it was struggling to recruit and distribute supplies due to current hostilities, Israeli restrictions on humanitarian movements and fuel shortages.

The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to an attack led by Hamas against southern Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 others were hostage.

Since then, at least 59,029 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health ministry in the territory.
