California has passed a new law to calm blurring ads on streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video, so that the contents of the contents that flow are needed to match the audio level of the content. California Governor Gavin News Legal signature Monday

From July 1, 2026, Streaming Services will not be allowed to send audio of commercial ads more loudly than video content with ads with bills.

Governor said in News A. “We heard the Californians loud and clear and what is clear is that they don’t want ads in any volume more than any program they were before,” Governor said at News Press releaseThe “By signing SB 576, California is dialing these disadvantages on Streaming Platforms, which was not subject to the commercial volume rules adopted by the Congress in the 21st.”

The law has been modeled after the Loudness Poster (CAML) Act, which banned TV advertising audio to be broadcast more loudly than the TV program broadcast in the 21st. With this new law, streaming services must adhere to the same commercial volume rules as the traditional TV broadcasts in California.

The Senate Bill 576 was composed by State Senator Tom Uberg of California, who quoted a complaint from his legislature director Zach Keller, how to awaken Samantha, the newborn daughter of Keller.

In a press release, Senator Thomas Uberg said, “This bill was inspired by Baby Samantha and every exhausting parents who finally slept a child, just a blurring streaming advertisement to undone all those hard work,” said Senator Thomas Uberg in a press release. “SB 576 brings some necessary peace and quiet to ensure that streaming ads in California families are no longer louder than the shows we want to see.”

Given California’s impact on the entertainment world, these laws can pressure streaming platforms to cut noisy ads nationwide.
