A doctor in California, accused of giving friends of friends, Matthew Perry, access to Ketamin in the weeks before the death of an actor overdose has agreed to plead guilty, according to federal prosecutors.
Dr. Salvador Plasenia will plead guilty to four charges of distribution of Ketamine, Federal prosecutors said in a statement on Monday. The application is a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and is expected to make his application in the coming weeks.
Perry – best known for playing Chandler Bing to friends – found dead in his hot tub in Los Angeles in October 2023. He was 54 years old and although he was open to fighting depression and addiction, fans around the world were shocked by his death.
According to text reports shared with prosecutors from Dr. Mrk Chavez, a doctor who has already pleaded guilty to the case – D -R Plasteria called Perry “moron” and wondered how much he would be willing to pay for drugs.
According to documents submitted to the legal basis agreement, D -Plasecia injects Perry with Ketamine into his home and into the parking lot of the Long Beach aquarium. Dr. Plasecia teaches a perry helper – who is also a defendant – how to administer the medicine and sell additional vials to keep at home, according to the legal basis agreement.
The doctor is one of the five people accused of what prosecutors claim to have been an underground network of dealers and medical professionals who supply Perry with ketamine. The actor accepted legally, prescribed the amount of the drug to cure his depression, but wanted more than prescribed.
In total, according to the legal basis agreement, between September 30, 2023 and October 12, 2023, D -Plasecia sold twenty 5ml (100 mg/ml) vials with ketamine, less than a full package of ketamine shepherds and syringes to Perry and his assistant.
