The corals in the UNESCO region of the Ningalo Reef World Heritage Site suffer from mass bleaching as part of what scientists call a “sea heat wave”.

Coral carries a huge amount of biodiversity and protects the shores from extreme time – so something can be done to save?

Katie Watson from the BBC went to the remote reef from Western Australia to find out if the damage can be canceled.
